The global short-form drama 'Kiss of the Devil' completed its script reading yesterday (19th) and has officially started. 'Kiss of the Devil' is an original IP aimed at 'global simultaneous expansion' from the planning stage, consisting of 50 episodes for OTT (video distribution service). It combines fantasy and romance, embodying a format optimized for global platforms. Plus X ENM is the main production company, with Chaan Creations and ThemeWork Studio participating in co-production. Directed by Park In-woo, with cinematography by Kim Seong-bok, and the script written by Kim Do-young. During the script reading, cast and crew from Japan, Korea, and Thailand gathered to share the work's worldview and emotions. The male lead, Lucien, will be played by Thai actor Peak (KONGTHAP PEAK), who gained attention on Mnet's 'PRODUCE X 101' and has starred in Thai dramas 'Dare to Love' and 'Money, My Love'. The female lead, Lee Sara, will be portrayed by actress Kim Seung-hye, who debuted in 'No Movie' and starred in the short-form drama 'Satan's Girlfriend'. Additionally, Jung Ha-jun will be played by Park Eun-sung, Bella by Mizuki, a Japanese member of the girl group SECRET NUMBER, and Teel by Shin Jae-won, who is active in the boy group The Wind. Expectations are high for the synergy among the actors from Japan, Korea, and Thailand. The casting has also been reported by Thailand's Channel 3HD, proving the high local interest. The production will incorporate a method combining AI and live-action to differentiate itself. Kim Do-young, who won the grand prize at the Venice AI Film Awards and the Seoul International AI Film Festival for her previous work 'Invincible', stated, 'Kiss of the Devil' starts in Korea and aims to connect Asia and expand to global platforms, presenting a new standard for Korean short-form content through a production method that combines AI technology and storytelling. After completing the script reading, 'Kiss of the Devil' will crank in today (20th) and will shoot with the goal of global release.
