JINNY, who was active as a former member of the global K-POP girl group SECRET NUMBER, will release her first solo mini-album "Towards the Light" on September 8, 2025 (Monday). This work, as the title "Towards the Light" suggests, is a motivated piece created with the theme of "believing in one's own light and moving towards the future." JINNY herself participated in the lyrics and composition, marking a strong new start as an artist. The production team includes Kanata Okajima, who has worked on numerous hit songs for BTS, Arashi, and M!LK, along with creators active both domestically and internationally. Producer Akihiro Kondo, who has handled vocal direction for Ayumi Hamasaki and SHINee, has also joined, resulting in a high level of sound quality. Each recorded song has its own charm. "Everglow" is the title track, which will be released in advance on August 23, 2025, along with a music video. It is an energetic anthem that fuses the power of rock with modern electro, featuring sharp raps and refined vocals. The theme of the lyrics is "challenge and rebirth." The chorus "I won't stop, NO NO" symbolizes her strong will, and the song leaves a striking impression of a sense of speed as if rushing through before dawn. "LIGHTS" is an anthem song that combines an emotional melody and fast-paced rap with EDM-like build-ups and drops. The impressive synth and beat evoke the feeling of rushing through city lights, leading listeners into a dynamic development reminiscent of clubs and festivals. "BABY BABY" is a love song that expresses passionate love and earnestness. It realistically depicts feelings of attraction and misunderstandings that keep one awake at night, with lyrics that strongly assert, "You are the only one," featuring modern and relatable lyrics along with straightforward rap and vocals. "HIGHER" is an upbeat party tune packed with the heat and liberation of midsummer. The bouncing beat and strong bass line overlap with the hook "Do my thing," naturally making listeners want to jump. The themes are "freedom" and "positivity," depicting the exhilaration of dancing until dawn and radiating energetic charm. I hope you enjoy the messages contained in each song. ◆JINNY Comment: Finally, my solo debut album "Towards the Light" has been released! Just like the album name, let’s move towards a shining future together! Please listen a lot! Thank you for your continued support!
