SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan and Joshua’s new unit JxJ unfolds a dreamlike scene colored by fantastical suspense. At 0:00 on the 5th, JxJ released the trailer for their 1st mini album DREAMSCAPE, titled DREAMSCAPE : BETWEEN TWELVES, on the official HYBE LABELS YouTube channel and SEVENTEEN’s social media. It is a video that depicts the journey of two dreamers moving back and forth between noon and midnight and traveling through the world of dreams. The trailer overlaps each other’s different dream worlds and breaks down the boundary between reality and fantasy. The scenery before their eyes distorts in an instant, and strange-shaped clouds appear, causing subtle cracks in everyday moments. The calm appearance of JxJ, as if walking through a dream, further heightens the unreal feeling. Sharp alarm sounds and soft instrumental music intertwine, creating a unique atmosphere in which drowsiness and tension coexist. Scenes symbolizing circulation arouse curiosity about the new work. Ouroboros, the ancient mythological figure that swallows its own tail and connects the end and the beginning, appears throughout, and the pond and clouds also rotate while drawing circles without end. In particular, the final scene, in which Joshua opens the door and looks at the sleeping Jeonghan, connects with the first scene in which Joshua enters the room where Jeonghan was sleeping, forming another circle of circulation. DREAMSCAPE, which will be released on the 19th of this month, is an album depicting a dream world in which the two meanings of “dream”—the unconscious fantasy that blooms during sleep and the ideal one wants to achieve in reality—intertwine endlessly, collide, and unfold. JxJ is scheduled to bring sensory ecstasy to listeners with unknown beauty captured at the intersection of the two dreams. Following the release of the new album, they will hold a solo performance, JEONGHAN X JOSHUA JOURNEY INTO [DREAMING], in six cities in Korea and abroad. After opening the tour at Incheon Inspire Arena from the 30th to the 1st of next month, they will visit Saitama Belluna Dome on November 21–22, Galaxy Arena in Macau on December 11–12, Taipei Arena in Taipei on January 9–10 next year, BEXCO in Busan on January 30–31, and AsiaWorld-Arena in Hong Kong on February 20–21.
