The film Wandance, a live-action adaptation of the manga of the same name by Coffee, which depicts the way the fate of a young man begins to move through his encounter with dance, will be released nationwide on Friday, November 27, 2026. In Quick Japan Monologue #01, on sale Wednesday, November 18, a 17-page special feature commemorating the release of the film Wandance will be included. JO (&TEAM), in his first starring film role, plays the protagonist, Kobanako Koya (Kabo), and RAN (MAZZEL) plays his senior, Itsukushima Iori, who sees through Kabo’s talent and encourages him to take on a dance battle. This time, the two will adorn the cover of the SPECIAL EDITION special cover version in a two-shot. The feature includes a long conversation between JO and RAN. JO, who started dancing after becoming a trainee, and RAN, who has walked with dance since childhood, talk about the new worlds that dance opened for each of them, the appeal of dance as a way to convey feelings beyond words, and what they faced in order to “dance as a role” in this work. In addition, solo interviews are included in which each reveals the appeal of the other as a performer that they felt through their first co-starring. Also included is an interview with director Naoya Kusaba. While including episodes from the shoot, he talks about the qualities of JO and RAN as performers and how the two faced their roles.
