JO and RAN star on the special cover of Quick Japan Monologue #01, with a 17-page feature on their film Wandance and shared insights.

The SPECIAL EDITION special cover version of "Quick Japan Monologue" #01, on sale Wednesday, November 18, 2026, will be graced by JO (&TEAM) and RAN (MAZZEL), who co-starred for the first time in the film "Wandance." The cover visual using a two-shot and the details of the 17-page feature "Dancing Out Into the World" have now been revealed. In the film "Wandance," which opens on Friday, November 27, JO plays the protagonist Kabu Kotani (Kabo), and RAN plays senior student Iori Itsukushima, who sees through his talent. In the feature, the two, who started dancing at different times and have walked different paths, talk about the world that dancing has opened up for them, the realizations they gained through this work, and the figures they aim to become from here on. In the solo interviews in which they reveal each other's charms, the relationship between the two that was nurtured on set is also explored. JO says of RAN, "For me, he is like a 'master'" and confesses his gratitude that he supported him on an unfamiliar set. RAN describes JO's personality and his attitude toward facing the shoot as "everything is straight and passionate," and reveals that he too was inspired. Also included is an interview with director Naoya Kusaba. The qualities of the two as seen by the director are discussed, such as JO's single-minded effort, and RAN's honesty and deep respect for dance. Together with episodes from the filming, the process by which the relationship between the performers brought realism to Kabo and Iori is traced.
