Key surprises SHINee members with jewelry gifts for their 18th anniversary, emphasizing love and a donation to Save the Children.

Key from SHINee gave special presents to the members. On the 25th, a video titled 'Happy 18th Birthday, Piddles (SHINee's nickname)' was released on SHINee's official YouTube channel. In the video, Key planned an event secretly for the members to celebrate their 18th anniversary since debut. Staff conducted a fake interview before the members' concert practice, and suddenly the lights went out, with staff appearing holding a debut anniversary cake. After the surprise event, Key said, 'I bought presents,' and took out the prepared gifts, which were luxury brand jewelry. After distributing the presents, Key mentioned, 'One is for (Jonghyun) brother to give later,' showing his special affection for the members. Onew expressed, 'I was really surprised. Thank you,' while Taemin exclaimed, 'Is it jewelry? It's a necklace! I'm putting it on right now.' He was moved, saying, 'This thoughtfulness is impressive. It’s clearly a design chosen directly by you, brother.' In response, Key conveyed a special meaning, saying, 'Also, this will be a donation to Save the Children.' Minho also expressed, 'I will cherish it. Thank you for such an expensive gift.' Later, the members left messages for SHINee World (the fans). Onew said, 'The time we've grown together is 18 years. I think it's wonderful to walk with someone this far. I'm really moved thinking I've spent more than half of my life with you all. I want to continue to grow together as much as possible. Thank you.' Minho stated, 'I'm really grateful for the 18th anniversary congratulations. SHINee WORLD is also celebrating its 18th anniversary, congratulations. I want to spend many wonderful times together now and in the future. I sincerely appreciate it.' Taemin joked, 'I’m really glad to debut with brother Key. Aren't you jealous?' while showing off the necklace. He added, 'Eighteen years is the age of a high school senior, but I think we, SHINee, have grown healthily to that age, and thanks to those who have watched over us and supported us, we could do our best. Just like the years we spent together, we will continue to grow, and I hope you will watch over and love us. I’m always grateful. I love you.' Key added, 'I want to sincerely congratulate everyone on our birthday. It’s the age of adulthood for humans. I’m truly grateful for those who have been with us for a long time, and of course, for those who have newly come to love us and continue to support us. Rather than making a big fuss and thinking grandly, I want to spend this day happily like our own anniversary that we celebrate every year, and we will soon prepare for concerts and naturally stand on stage to sing. I’m grateful.' Especially towards the end of the video, Key was seen purchasing gifts for the members, drawing attention. Key said, 'I just got home after practice, but I practice almost every day for the concert. Really hard. The reason I stood in front of the camera is that I wanted to give something like a present on our debut anniversary, but it felt a bit embarrassing to say 'surprise' just among us, so I thought I would buy it myself and decided to think a little and purchase it.' He explained, 'I thought it would be good to have jewelry that can last long. Things like clothes are hard to keep for a long time. I thought about what could be meaningful and memorable, and this is what I chose. It’s important to have something that can last long for our debut anniversary, but the purpose of Save the Children is wonderful, and I thought it would be meaningful to help others while celebrating our debut, so I decided on this.' He continued, 'I will order it now, but I will meet the members the day after tomorrow, so I will include one for Jonghyun brother as well, and I will try to purchase it now. I hope everyone will like it.' He expressed his affection for the members, saying, 'It’s a three-month installment plan. It’s interest-free. I was able to purchase it this way. I hope everyone will be happy to receive it.' SHINee is scheduled to hold their 8th solo concert '- The Trilogy I - 2026 SHINee WORLD VIII : [THE INVERT]' at the KSPO DOME in Olympic Park, Songpa District, Seoul, from the 29th to the 31st. They also have a concert at the Belluna Dome in Saitama on June 5th and 7th as part of their Japan tour.

WEEK1 on September 26 features performances by New School Leaders, ONEW, Da-iCE, and M!LK. WEEK2 on October 3 will also include Ayumu Imazu, ≒JOY, BALLISTIK BOYZ, and M!LK, with crossover appearances by performers from both weeks.
ONEW has released his 4th Japanese single, "KAKERA -Fate’s Piece-." The puzzle-themed project includes original songs, cover tracks, and version-specific coupling songs that highlight different charms of his voice. A download campaign begins September 16, and concerts follow in Tokyo.
On the afternoon of the 15th, at Incheon SSG Landers Field, the 2026 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League game between the SSG Landers and the KIA Tigers was held, and SHINee’s Minho appeared to throw the ceremonial first pitch.
SM Entertainment and KDDI will hold the Japan-only “SMTOWN RUN CLUB 26 × au Wellness Virtual Run” from Sept. 28 to Oct. 4, 2026. Inspired by Minho’s London run, it lets fans share a sense of unity with artists through daily walking and running. Tickets are 5,500 yen, and finishers who reach 15,000 steps receive Japan-exclusive prizes.
A recent Instagram post from TVXQ showed Changmin, SHINee’s Minho, and EXO’s Chanyeol together in a “Che-sang Crew” shot. Their casual running outfits still highlighted their visuals, while Changmin’s Han River photo showed his trained physique. Minho also appeared on their running talk show and led the run like a coach.
The KGMA organizing committee revealed the solo, band, and trot lineup for the 3rd Korea Grand Music Awards, to be held November 7-8 at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome. The roster includes Dayoung, Minho, Young K, Yuna, Choi Yena, LUCY, TOUCHED, Novelbright, Park Ji-hyun, and Jang Minho.
SHINee’s Onew announced a comeback for October 20 by releasing a trailer for his first single album, “Illusion,” on his official YouTube channel. It is his first release in about seven months since his fifth mini album, “TOUGH LOVE,” and it will feature three title tracks.
SHINee’s Taemin released his new mini album “PHASE 1: Soft Violence,” a work built on the contrast between “soft” and “violence.” The album explores beauty’s tension, contradictions, and hidden cruelty, and includes 11 tracks, double title songs “FLOAT” and “Gooey,” and a new MV for “FLOAT.”
