CIX will end group activities after 7 years since their debut. Today (29th), C9 Entertainment announced, "CIX will stop group activities from now on," and stated, "We have had sincere and deep discussions for several months about continuing group activities, but everyone agreed that it is unavoidable to stop the group's operation at this time." Accordingly, members BX and Seunghun will have their exclusive contracts end on April 30, and Hyunseok's will end on May 31. Yonghee applied for enlistment after the decision to stop group activities and will fulfill his duty in the army starting May 11. C9 Entertainment stated, "We ask for warm support for the members who will give their all in their lives in new environments and new forms," and added, "We will continue to make substantial efforts to ensure that the CIX brand delivers unique music to everyone again by continuing communication with the members." CIX debuted on July 21, 2019, with their 1st EP 'Hello Chapter 1. Hello, Stranger.' In August 2024, member Bae Jinyoung left the group.
