Be Sochan, the younger brother of former CIX member Be Jinyoung, has been selected for the short track Korean national team, attracting attention. On the 12th, he placed third overall in the men's category at the 2026-2027 season short track Korean national team selection held at the Mokdong Ice Rink in Seoul, securing his spot on the national team. As a result, he is expected to participate as a relay member in major international competitions such as the ISU World Tour next season. This selection is particularly significant as it marks Be Sochan's first selection for the senior national team. He has previously proven his potential by winning one gold, one silver, and one bronze medal at the Universiade. Additionally, the fact that he is 'Be Jinyoung's brother' is drawing renewed attention. In an interview, Be Sochan candidly shared, 'When I was younger, it was stressful to be noticed because of my brother, but now I feel it's rather good.' He added, 'Recently, I spend most of my time at my brother's house. He is very happy and congratulates me, which makes me feel even better,' showcasing a warm brotherly love. He also stated, 'I don't think it will be easy to become as famous as my brother,' but expressed his determination to 'work hard.' Be Jinyoung ranked 10th in the final of the Mnet audition program 'Produce 101' Season 2 in 2017 and debuted as a member of Wanna One. After completing Wanna One's activities, Be Jinyoung became a member of CIX in 2019 and left the team last August. He has recently announced a new start as a solo artist and continues various activities.
