The grand prize of the '2025 KBS Acting Awards' was awarded to Ahn Jae-wook and Um Ji-won. The drama they appeared in, 'Drug Brothers', also swept the awards. On December 31, at KBS Hall in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, the '2025 KBS Acting Awards' was held, hosted by Chang Sung-kyu, Nam Ji-hyun, and Moon Sang-min. The grand prize of the day was awarded to Ahn Jae-wook and Um Ji-won from 'Drug Brothers'. Ahn Jae-wook said, 'I thought the grand prize was unrelated to me, but I realize such a day has come for me. During the busy times of my drama activities, I often felt regretful and dissatisfied, seeing myself outside the honor of such a big award. I felt strong self-blame and complained a lot. I was more regretful than hopeful for a new tomorrow.' He mentioned feeling a lot from Lee Seung-jae's grand prize acceptance speech last year, saying, 'Even someone like (Lee Seung-jae) who has had such a long acting career is so humble and grateful, I felt my capacity was too small, and there is still so much I need to fill in. I felt really shabby as an actor. If I had received the grand prize from the previous year's winner, it would have been an indescribable emotion and honor. I feel very regretful and nostalgic.' He continued, 'With just one compliment from the teacher, I remember the proud and elated moments. I will not be satisfied with just one more trophy at home, but will carefully consider the weight and responsibility this award brings, and truly strive to become a more responsible actor.' He expressed gratitude to fellow actors including Um Ji-won and his family. Um Ji-won also mentioned Lee Seung-jae, who played her grandfather in 'Endless Love', and cried. She said, 'To me, my seniors and teachers have been such great acting mentors,' and expressed heartfelt thanks to her colleagues. She hoped that one day they would meet again and provide viewers with love and emotion through memorable performances. She added, 'The trophy is heavier than I thought. I understand the weight of the grand prize and will grow as an actor who conveys sincerity.' She also said, 'I think I was able to grow as a person while playing Kwan-sook in the drama. Above all, I deeply thank the viewers who loved and supported this drama. I want to dedicate this award to my parents, who loved and supported the drama more than anyone.' 'Drug Brothers', which was expected to win multiple awards early on, swept a total of 11 categories, including the two grand prizes. In the Best Long Drama category, Yoon Bak and Yoo In-young won, while Shinhwa's Kim Dong-wan and Park Jung-geum also won supporting awards. Ahn Jae-wook and Um Ji-won, Yoon Bak and Lee Bom were nominated for Best Couple, and writer Kwon Hyun-sook and Lee Seok-ki, Shin Seul-gi also received writer and rookie awards respectively. Kim Young-kwang and Lee Young-ae, who co-starred in 'A Good Day for Eun-soo', also won the Best Award. They achieved two crowns together by also winning Best Couple.
