The UNICEF Korean Committee announced today (7th) that NCT's Doyoung donated 100 million won (about 1.1 million dollars) to support the healthy growth of children worldwide ahead of World Children's Day on November 20. Doyoung made the donation in response to the warm love from fans and has been involved in sharing activities for children and low-income families. In anticipation of World Children's Day, he personally selected the donation destination and items to make it more meaningful. This fund will be fully used for UNICEF Korea Committee's 'Life-Saving Gifts' nutrition education support kits, which will be delivered to children in need. As a result, Doyoung has joined the 'Owners Club,' a gathering of high-value donors. 'Life-Saving Gifts' consist of relief supplies essential for children's growth, including health, nutrition, drinking water hygiene, and education, allowing donors to choose their preferred kits for sponsorship. The nutrition education support kit includes high-nutrition biscuits, therapeutic food for malnutrition, student bags, notebooks, and pencils. The 100 million won can provide approximately 150,000 high-nutrition biscuits and 3,300 bags. Doyoung stated, 'I wanted to repay the support from fans I met during my first solo album, Asia tour, and encore concert. I hope all children around the world grow up healthy and bright, and I wish for a happy World Children's Day.' UNICEF Korea Committee Secretary-General Cho Mijin expressed heartfelt gratitude to Doyoung for sending an important gift for the children of the global village on World Children's Day, stating that the warm concern and helping hand he delivered will bring great hope and courage to children around the world facing a difficult winter due to ongoing wars and natural disasters.
