THE BOYZ’s Eric conveyed his candid feelings toward a new beginning. Today (the 15th), Eric released a visual film and announced an on- and offline fan festa. This is the first piece of content he has unveiled after recently signing an exclusive contract with GRID Entertainment and announcing a fresh start. This visual film was inspired by the number “22,” which symbolizes Eric. Through a total of 22 questions and answers, it captures everything from the time he has spent since debuting as a member of THE BOYZ to his current thoughts and the direction he wants to move toward from here. The video begins with the sound of an intercom. After opening the mailbox, he finds one pink letter, and the envelope is marked with the words “22 Questions for Eric.” After that, Eric calmly reveals stories about himself while answering the questions in the envelope one by one. In the first chapter, “ERIC, The Babe,” he looked back on the time he has lived as Eric of THE BOYZ. He said, “When I became a member of THE BOYZ, I wanted to become someone who gives love,” and added, “The most vivid memories that remain are the moment right before my first stage after debut and THE B (the fans). Because I have had so many hardships until now, from here on I will spread my wings and fly.” He also conveyed his special feelings toward the other members of THE BOYZ. He said, “Every moment and every time I spent with the members of THE BOYZ was happy,” and emphasized, “The driving force that allowed me to keep moving forward even in hard times was also THE B, THE BOYZ, and my family. They are the reason I exist.” He continued, “THE BOYZ is my life. My everything,” and expressed gratitude, saying, “Because the members were there, the current me and THE B were able to exist.” In the second chapter, “Eric & Son Young-jae,” the film focused on the artist Eric on stage and Son Young-jae, Eric’s real name, behind the scenes. Eric said, “Actually, I am delicate and a perfectionist who is quite strict with myself,” and confessed, “Because of that, I sometimes push myself too hard and give myself a lot of pressure.” He added, “The moment I feel most confident and coolest is definitely when I am on stage,” and, “If it is for something I truly love, I have the confidence to take on any risk.” He also revealed the message he wants to convey through music. Eric said, “I want to put my honest thoughts and feelings, and positive energy, into my music,” and said, “Even if that honesty sometimes becomes a wound, I still want to express sincerity.” He continued, “Even if there is a possibility of failure, I will try everything and keep moving forward. Failure is also a process toward success,” expressing his determination. Finally, he said, “Always remember. Eric loves you (THE B),” once again expressing his sincerity toward his fans. Prior to this, he announced a new leap forward by signing an exclusive contract with GRID Entertainment. As he revealed his determination to show new possibilities in various fields, including music, based on the experience he gained through his activities with THE BOYZ, attention is gathering on Eric’s future steps as he showed an even more candid side through the “22 questions.” • THE BOYZ’s Eric signs an exclusive contract with GRID Entertainment... in the same agency as ALPHA DRIVE ONE members • THE BOYZ’s Eric personally comments on dating rumors with Jeon Somi: “Just an industry acquaintance”
