NCT's Taeyong revealed that being an idol was not his original dream. On the 5th, a video titled "What is the relationship between Soo-chong and Taeyong? NCT Taeyong, Hong Soo-chong's Jewelry Box Season 2 EP.02" was released on the YouTube channel "Hong Soo-chong's Jewelry Box." On that day, when Hong Soo-chong asked, "When did you become handsome?" Taeyong replied, "I didn't want to lie, but I couldn't look in the mirror when I was still practicing." Hong Soo-chong made a fuss, saying, "Because you shine too much?" and Taeyong laughed a little and confessed, "I had a difficult puberty when I was a trainee. I didn't want to be called 'debuting with my face,' so I thought, 'This is not something I should care about' and avoided managing my appearance." Taeyong, who said he was only focused on practicing, added, "I'm still a little embarrassed to be praised for my appearance." Hearing this, Hong Soo-chong speculated, "Perhaps being an idol was not originally his dream due to his personality." Taeyong, upon hearing this, said, "I never thought about it at all. I wanted to be a firefighter," and expressed, "I wanted to have a profession that would make people happy no matter what I became." Taeyong recently released his 2nd mini-album "TAP" and made a comeback.
