ILLIT has successively released a concept film that condenses the album’s color and a promotional calendar containing the upcoming schedule, ahead of its comeback with the 5th mini album BREAK EVEN on October 26. The title of this album, BREAK EVEN, means the “break-even point” in a relationship where there is neither loss nor gain. ILLIT, which has so far faced feelings of love head-on, will draw a line under a relationship that is unrewarded no matter how much they give, and will transform into an independent stance that puts themselves first. The title track, You’re Under Arrest, is a powerful warning to the other person who made them misunderstand things with suggestive kindness, and it is a track in which the emotion of cutting off the relationship on their own reaches its peak. In the “BURNING” version concept film released on September 28, the members’ intense emotional changes upon realizing the sunk cost of their feelings were depicted. Yuna with a wound on her face, Minju holding a chainsaw, Wonhee smashing a teddy bear, and Iroha destroying the surroundings with a hammer showed a mad-like performance, and the heavy classical music stood out. The line, “I can’t endure any more,” and the subtitle “FOUR STORIES” heightened interest in the unfolding story. On the following day, the 29th, a promotional calendar video was released, with words contained in a crumpled receipt and an expression of irritation leaving a strong impression. According to the calendar, on October 5 a teasing video that lets fans feel the atmosphere of the new song in advance will be released. On the 6th, a concept photo version made for fans, “GLLIT” (the fandom name), will be unveiled. On the 12th and 15th, concept photos for the “QUIET” and “MAD” versions, respectively, are scheduled to be released, delivering a variety of charms. Before the comeback, a solo performance will also be held. Over two days, the 17th and 18th, an encore performance, “ILLIT LIVE ‘PRESS START♥’ ENCORE in KOREA,” will be held at Incheon Inspire Arena. The promotional calendar includes the words “special stage” along with a police light emoji, raising expectations for a special performance to be unfolded at the venue. After that, on the 23rd and 25th, the first and second official teaser videos for the title track, You’re Under Arrest, will be released in sequence. The 5th mini album BREAK EVEN and the main music video for the title track will be released at 6 p.m. on the 26th. Along with a more deeply developed musical story, ILLIT’s new challenge will begin.
