The Korean drama festival "2024 APAN STAR AWARDS" is celebrating its 10th anniversary and will be held even more splendidly. Organized by the Korean Entertainment Management Association and the Seoul Economic Promotion Agency, and co-hosted by Guardians Company, the "2024 APAN STAR AWARDS" will take place on December 28 at the Art Hall 1 of the Seoul Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP). The "APAN STAR AWARDS" is an award ceremony that integrates all channels of Korean dramas, including terrestrial, comprehensive programming channels, cable, OTT (video distribution services), and web dramas. It is the only integrated award ceremony officially recognized by public cultural arts organizations. Since its inception in 2012, it has continued for about 10 years, contributing to communication with Korean drama fans worldwide and revitalizing the industry. This year, marking its 10th anniversary, the ceremony is expected to be filled with differentiated highlights, completing the largest festival. The "2024 APAN STAR AWARDS" will target all Korean drama content broadcast from November 2023 to October 2024 across terrestrial, comprehensive programming channels, cable, OTT, and web dramas. Given that many works recognized for their artistic quality have been presented this year, it is anticipated that artists with significant influence on popular culture will gather and engage in fierce competition for awards in various categories. The award categories will be judged by experts representing each field, including directors, screenwriters, journalists, and popular culture critics. The "APAN STAR AWARDS" has enhanced its authority and prestige through fair judging results that transcend channels and genres. The nominees for awards (works) selected under unbiased and non-discriminatory judging have also attracted the interest of K-drama fans. Notable past grand prize winners include Song Hyun-joo (1st), Song Hye-kyo (2nd), Jo In-sung (3rd), Kim Soo-hyun (4th), Song Joong-ki (5th), Lee Byung-hun (6th), Hyun Bin (7th), and Song Joong-ki (8th).
