ILLIT's Wonhee is challenging herself with her first solo variety show named after herself. Today (8th), Coupang Play announced that 'Wonhee is 20', a solo variety show by ILLIT's Wonhee, will premiere on June 6 at 4 PM. 'Wonhee is 20' depicts the growth of Wonhee, who has just turned 20 and is full of 'firsts', as she challenges her bucket list alongside older sisters. ILLIT, which has gained global popularity with their 4th mini-album 'MAMIHLAPINATAPEI' and the title track 'It's Me', has topped music charts in Korea, China, Japan, and America. Member Wonhee recently ranked first in the 'May Rookie Idol Individual Brand Reputation' and has been showing 'hot activity' in various fields including album promotions, advertisements, and variety shows. As a star attracting attention, she plans to fill her one-time 20-year-old bucket list with her unique color through her solo variety show 'Wonhee is 20'. Loved as a representative of 'growth-type character' for her remarkable absorption and effort since before her debut, expectations are high for Wonhee to showcase her further growth with her bright and bold charm in this show. In this journey, Wonhee's 'life sisters' will appear weekly, acting as her bucket list mates. These sisters, gathered from various fields such as singers, creators, and celebrities, are expected to display a chemistry like true friends, sometimes showing a more natural side than her, rather than just being mentors who teach her the right answers. Additionally, the special memories and bonds formed as they fulfill each of their 20-year-old dreams are anticipated to deliver both excitement and empathy to viewers.
ILLIT’s Minju won fans over with a cover of Lee Hyori’s classic “10 Minutes,” released on the group’s official YouTube channel. She reinterpreted the song in an R&B style, adding delicate vocals, expressive groove, and Y2K-inspired visuals. BELIFT LAB said she also took part in vocal direction and chorus recording. Minju said she wanted to sing a song she loves in her own voice. ILLIT will hold an encore concert in Incheon next month after sold-out tour stops in Seoul, five Japanese cities, and Hong Kong.
