SUPER JUNIOR stated today (28th) through their official Weibo account, "As soon as we heard the news of the large fire in Hong Kong, we all felt pain and sank into deep sadness," and revealed, "At every moment, we have deeply felt the warmth and kindness that this city of Hong Kong gives us." They continued, "This time, we would like to donate 1 million Hong Kong dollars (about 20 million yen) under the name of SUPER JUNIOR and E.L.F. BOYNEXTDOOR donated 500,000 Hong Kong dollars under the name of the group and their fans, ONEDOOR, stating, "We hope this donation will help the recovery and damage restoration in the area," and TWS reported, "Upon hearing the heartbreaking news, we donated 500,000 Hong Kong dollars under the name of TWS and 42 (the affectionate name for TWS fans)." Additionally, many donations and voices praying for recovery continue from others, including ZEROBASEONE's Zhang Hao, Im Siwan, and PLAVE. This fire occurred at 2:52 PM on the 26th in a 32-story high-rise apartment building in Tai Po, northern Hong Kong. According to the Secretary for Security of Hong Kong, as of 4 PM Japan time today, there are 128 dead and 79 injured. The number of missing persons is approximately 200, including 89 unidentified bodies. It is expected that the number of deceased may increase during the ongoing investigation.
