Daniel of NewJeans' family-owned real estate has been subjected to provisional seizure measures. Today (29th), according to the legal and music industry, the Seoul Central District Court accepted the provisional seizure application for real estate filed by ADOR, NewJeans' agency, against Daniel's mother and Min Hee-jin, dated February 2. ADOR applied for the provisional seizure of real estate against Daniel's mother and Min Hee-jin on January 23 this year. The total claim amount is approximately 7 billion won (about 750 million yen), with about 2 billion won (about 200 million yen) for Daniel's mother and about 5 billion won (about 500 million yen) for Min Hee-jin confirmed. Among them, five lawyers from Kim & Chang law firm, who have been representing ADOR, submitted their resignation on April 24. It has been reported that they are discussing the appointment of new lawyers to efficiently respond to multiple ongoing lawsuits. The five members of NewJeans declared the termination of their exclusive contract with ADOR in 2024, citing a breakdown of trust, and have been engaged in legal disputes. However, on November 12 last year, Heerin and Haein expressed their intention to return to ADOR. Subsequently, Minji, Hani, and Daniel also conveyed their willingness to return, and ADOR announced it would hold individual meetings with the members. However, in December last year, ADOR officially announced Hani's return while clarifying Daniel's contract termination. Minji is reported to be continuing negotiations. ADOR has filed a damage compensation lawsuit against Daniel and her family, amounting to 431 billion won (about 4.3 billion yen). The next court hearing is scheduled for May 14.
