ILLIT’s rapid rise continues. On October 28, according to BELIFT LAB, a label under HYBE MUSIC GROUP, the music video for “It’s Me,” the title track of ILLIT’s 4th mini album “MAMIHLAPINATAPAI,” surpassed 200 million YouTube views at around 3 a.m. on the 27th. Following their debut song “Magnetic,” this is the group’s second work to reach 200 million views in total. The speed of the view count increase is also visibly accelerating. The music video for “It’s Me” surpassed 200 million views in 180 days since its release on April 30, greatly shortening the record of “Magnetic,” which took 329 days to reach that mark. Even now, six months after its release, it remains ranked on YouTube Korea’s “Daily Popular Music Videos” chart, showing unchanging popularity. “It’s Me” is a song in which, after a first date, as worries deepen about how to define the relationship with the person they like, they boldly shout, “Your bias is me!” In the music video, ILLIT’s unique charm as they struggle to hear the answer “bias” is humorously depicted. Their self-directed and assertive lyrics, which are like them, and a techno performance full of vitality are combined, and it has long been loved by music fans. Its performance on music charts also continues to be strong. In addition to maintaining a high position on Korean music charts, the song has been ranked for 24 consecutive weeks on the U.S. Billboard “Global 200” and for 25 consecutive weeks on “Global (Excl. U.S.).” In Japan, it has surpassed 100 million cumulative streams on Oricon, and it continues to record high rankings on Billboard Japan and LINE MUSIC as well. On TikTok, videos using “It’s Me” (including the original sound) have surpassed 2.5 million. This kind of excitement has been carried over directly to the new album released recently.
