Regarding the dissemination of false facts and invasion of privacy concerning BLACKPINK's Jennie, the agency has begun legal action. Yesterday (9th), the agency OA Entertainment revealed through their official SNS that 'recently, malicious slander and baseless speculative posts about our artist, Jennie, have been continuously occurring, damaging the artist's honor through the dissemination of false facts, particularly through online communities and SNS.' They also stated, 'There has been an increase in acts that invade the artist's privacy, such as disrupting her personal time and tracking her movements, based on completely false content.' They continued, 'We are currently collecting related materials through ongoing monitoring of SNS and online platforms, and we are preparing legal responses based on legal consultations regarding acts that infringe on the artist's honor and rights.' They added, 'We plan to take strong measures, including civil and criminal legal actions, depending on the severity of the cases involving violations of the artist's honor, rights, portrait rights, and other intellectual property rights, as well as privacy violations, and we clearly state that there will be no goodwill or agreements during this process.' BLACKPINK released their 3rd mini-album 'DEADLINE' on the 27th of last month.
