NMIXX has made a comeback for the first time in 6 months. NMIXX held a showcase at the Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Hotel in Songpa-gu, Seoul on the 15th to commemorate the release of their 2nd mini-album "Fe3O4: BREAK" and talked about the new album. They started the new year with a new mini-album "Fe3O4: BREAK," which has further upgraded vocals and performances. The members talked about their comeback, saying, "We will greet you with our 2nd mini-album, which will be released for the first time in 6 months. Please look forward to seeing a newer and stronger side of us." The new album "Fe3O4: BREAK," which shows NMIXX's unique personality and charm, was named after the chemical symbol for a magnetic substance and announced that it will attract more people like a magnet. Through this album, they open the curtain on the worldview series, the third installment "Fe304," and talk about their first challenge to overcome obstacles to "Mixtopia" and create a flexible world. Renowned writers participated in the album. "Run For Roses" was written by "K-POP's representative band" DAY6's Young K and popular lyricist Isran, and "BOOM" was composed and arranged by Ryan S. June. Other global production teams such as THE HUB and the world-renowned production team LDN Noise also contributed to enhance the album. The title track "DASH" is a MIXX POP song, the group's original music genre, with a dynamic development that alternates between groovy basslines and strong sound pop punk. Lily, Heewon, Solyn, Bae, Jiu, and Gyujin's singing, rapping, and harmonies add to the enjoyment of listening. Lily revealed her thoughts on the new song, saying, "The first impression of 'DASH' was that I really liked it from the beginning. The melody and everything reminded me of 2000s R&B and was very nice, like the songs of Destiny's Child that I love. It was so good that I found a new atmosphere every time I listened to it without getting tired." Heewon also said, "When we listened to the demo of this song together, everyone's opinions were unanimous. I thought it would be nice if we could record it well. When President Park Jin-young saw our dance for the first time, he said, 'It was very good from start to finish,' so I gained confidence." They celebrated their 2nd anniversary of their debut without realizing it. They said, "It feels like we just debuted yesterday, so we don't feel it yet. We think we were able to celebrate our 2nd anniversary thanks to the love of our fans. We have made many precious memories with our fans over the past two years, but we want to continue making various memories with our fans in the future." Gyujin said, "Since our debut, we have been showcasing music in various styles as we build various genres of music, and I think we have become able to digest a wider range of genres and have a deeper understanding. From 2024, I am happy to think that NMIXX's unique personality will be stronger and we will be able to showcase even more wonderful music." They expressed confidence in NMIXX's strengths, saying, "I think it's not live and performance. We have been practicing hard together since we were trainees, so I think the quality is high. The chemistry between the members is also very good." On this day, the members involved the venue in laughter with their adorable responses and fun atmosphere. They also overwhelmed the venue by spontaneously performing a cappella. Finally, NMIXX said, "If there is an opportunity, we would like to have a solo concert and a world tour this year. It is NMIXX's dream and goal. Since this is the first comeback of 2024, we want to start off well and continue the good atmosphere until December."
