Dawon of Cosmic Girls revealed her family circumstances. On the 23rd, during the MBC variety show "All-Knowing Obsessive Viewpoint" broadcast in Korea, Dawon's family situation was disclosed. On this day, Kim Seong-woon, the head manager who appeared as Dawon's manager, expressed regret that Dawon, who is from Jeju Island, lived alone in a study room (goshiwon, a type of simple accommodation in Korea) at the age of 13 while participating in "K-POP Star." Dawon had previously revealed in a variety show that her parents divorced when she was 8 years old, and her father incurred debts of 1.2 to 1.3 billion won (approximately 12 to 13 million yen) in her mother's name, leading to financial difficulties. She also faced damage from a typhoon during this tough time. Dawon recounted that she thought, "I have to fetch water by myself," and used a bucket to collect water. Song In-hee was surprised and asked, "Why did a 10-year-old child think to fetch water alone?" Dawon recalled, "At that time, there was a really big typhoon. Water filled up to my waist in our family store. It was a situation where I had to swim. I told my mom, 'Mom, it’s like a water park here,' and my mother was crying beside me. That day was the first time I saw my mother cry." She continued, "Actually, my mother has always been a really cool woman to me since I was little. She always juggled two or three jobs. She ran an eel restaurant and did insurance sales when she had time, among other jobs. I worried that it must be tough for her to do everything alone, but she never said it was hard. What she always told me was, 'Women from Jeju Island are this strong. You must always be tough too.' At that time, I felt the seriousness of the situation. For some reason, I felt I had to protect my mother. We lived together just the two of us. Although I was living a childish life, I suddenly grew up a lot at that time."
