GOT7's Jinyoung celebrated his birthday by donating 100 million won (about 1 million dollars) through the international aid organization Save the Children, for children's meal support. This sponsorship is intended to present warm meals to children from low-income families ahead of Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving). Jinyoung stated, 'I believe I can continue to move forward with the love and support of many fans, but I have been troubled about how to repay the great love you have sent me. I am grateful to be able to participate, even a little, in the work of protecting children's smiles, and I want to continue to act and sing with sincerity and do my best.' The donated funds will be used to provide meals to children from families facing food insecurity or disadvantaged environments due to economic and nurturing difficulties. In February 2023, Jinyoung sponsored 30 million won (about 300,000 dollars) for emergency relief for the Turkey-Syria earthquake and became a member of Save the Children's Owners Club. He also donated 30 million won in April 2024 to help children and families affected by the earthquake in Myanmar, continuing his practice of sharing.
