Dino of SEVENTEEN will expand activities as the sub-character Picheolin. The agency Pledis Entertainment announced today (11th), 'Dino will officially debut as the sub-character “Picheolin.” On August 3, he will release his 1st mini-album “吉BOARD.”' Picheolin is Dino's sub-character, set as a high-energy producer leading the prominent music planning company BOMG. Since appearing in a VCR at SEVENTEEN's fan meeting in 2021, he has been loved by many fans. In response, Dino announced his official debut as Picheolin, showcasing a unique appearance. Picheolin's debut album “吉BOARD” is an album that reinterprets 1990s street culture, meaning to evoke excitement on the streets. On HYBE LABELS' YouTube channel, a video titled “Monday Spotlight | Interview with Picheolin, Herald of Heung (Hype)” has also been released. The video features multiple versions of Picheolin from different eras appearing on a morning educational program, introducing their respective “paths of excitement.” The “prehistoric Picheolin” is a figure who discovered “excitement” before language. He revived a dying spark with a fun beat. The “exciting era Picheolin” developed the sound of wind music from the sound of spears hitting the ground, boosting the morale of soldiers. The “Picheolin of 2126” achieved harmony through “excitement.” Amidst a duel with an alien rival, he discovered a new rhythm. The atmosphere became even more spectacular with the appearance of “Picheolin of 2026.” When the late Picheolin arrives at the broadcasting station, lightning suddenly strikes, causing the other Picheolins to disappear. While everyone is stunned, only “Picheolin of 2026” remains calm. The final scene, where he sends his signature “loving gaze” to the camera, stirs curiosity about Picheolin's upcoming journey. The music featured in the video also stimulates curiosity, with a heavy beat complemented by smooth, refined saxophone sounds creating excitement. Despite being a short video with only part of the track included, it is highly addictive. The ringtone of “Picheolin of 2026” is also charming, with a pleasant melody and straightforward lyrics, “I’m crazy, crazy. I feel like I’m crazy for you,” heightening anticipation for the new work. Dino is hinting at an “B-grade sensibility” album through Picheolin, gathering expectations. Ahead of Picheolin's debut, various content will be released through HYBE LABELS' official channels.
