Stray Kids and NewJeans will succeed BTS at the "2023 Billboard Music Awards" and perform. They were recognized as "world-class groups" after successfully winning awards. On the 20th, the "2023 BBMAs" were held online at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, USA. "BBMAs" is one of the three major popular music awards in the United States, along with the "Grammy Awards" and the "American Music Awards (AMAs)." FIFTY FIFTY was nominated in the "Top Duo/Group" category, NewJeans in the "Top Billboard Global (excluding the United States) Artist" category, and BTS's Jimin's "Like Crazy" was nominated in the "Top Selling Song" category, but they did not win. This year's awards ceremony had 9 new categories out of a total of 69, and incredibly, 4 of these were K-POP related. Stray Kids and NewJeans were selected as performers along with their nominations and took the stage at the "2023 BBMAs." Stray Kids' "★★★★★ (5-STAR)" was nominated in the "Top K-POP Album" category, and they became the first winners in this category. After winning, Stray Kids expressed their gratitude to all the STAYs (Stray Kids fans) around the world. They also performed the title track "S-Class" from their 3rd full album, which topped the Billboard Main Album Chart "Billboard 200," and the title track "LALALALA" from their new album, overwhelming music fans worldwide with a powerful performance and explosive energy. NewJeans, nominated in the "Top Global K-POP Artist" category along with BTS's Jimin, Stray Kids, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, TWICE, became the first winner in this category.
