SHINee's Taemin is leaving Big Planet Made Entertainment. Big Planet Made Entertainment stated today (the 24th), "Our exclusive contract with Taemin has ended," and conveyed an official comment asking for continued support and interest in the artist's activities after the contract ends. Taemin had previously signed an exclusive contract with Big Planet Made Entertainment after leaving SM Entertainment in April 2024. At that time, Big Planet Made Entertainment stated, "We will fully support his wide-ranging music activities and do our best to help him leap to broader places and various fields. We ask for a lot of support and love for Taemin's new start." However, while Taemin was active at Big Planet Made Entertainment, suspicions of unpaid fees to affiliated artists arose. Regarding this, last month, the agency clarified its position, stating, "The 'unsettled' issue mentioned in the news articles is currently being discussed and adjusted normally based on the contract conditions and activity status of each artist." Taemin is scheduled to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California on April 11 and 18, and at Kstyle Party 2026 at K Arena Yokohama on May 9.
