It has been decided that “ORIGAMI,” a new song by the global group &TEAM from Japan collaborating with SANTOS BRAVOS, HYBE AMERICA’s first Latin pop group, will be digitally released on November 20 on major music distribution platforms around the world. This song will be the first advance single from SANTOS BRAVOS’s second EP, which is scheduled for release in 2027. The two groups share the common point that they are global groups produced by HYBE, rooted in the regions and cultures of their respective bases around the world. &TEAM, based in Japan and sending out its music globally, and SANTOS BRAVOS, who carry roots from Latin America such as Mexico and Brazil and are building a new trend in Latin pop. This time, a song has been completed in which the unique musical styles and cultural individuality each has cultivated are fused. “ORIGAMI” is the second large-scale collaboration among HYBE’s global artists, following “ICONIC BY MISTAKE,” released this June, and shows the possibility that artists with different cultural and musical backgrounds can create works that resonate with listeners around the world. “ORIGAMI” fuses a Latin urban pop sound with a concept rooted in roots (tradition), gratitude, and an indomitable spirit, and is a song that explores how people can grow and transform without losing the roots that shape who they are. Inspired by the Japanese traditional culture of “origami,” this song depicts the way a single simple sheet of paper transforms into a work of art as a metaphor for “identity formation.” Each and every fold represents experiences, connections with people, and learning that have shaped oneself. At its core is deep gratitude and respect for family, friends, and the community that have supported the journey so far. The two sides have also previously carried out collaborations across countries, regions, and cultures, such as a featuring on the song “KAWASAKI (&TEAM Remix),” which recorded a worldwide viral hit, and a joint cover performance of HYBE MUSIC GROUP senior BTS (BTS) at “KCON LA 2026” held in Los Angeles, U.S. this August, and have drawn great attention among fans around the world. The original song “ORIGAMI,” which the two groups, having proven a solid bond and synergy, are finally releasing to the world. Expectations are rising for their new challenge, and what impact the harmony born from the crossing of each identity and mutual respect for each other’s cultures will have on the global music scene. ■ Related site “ORIGAMI” click here for each distribution site.
