Over two days, on the 12th and 13th, 'Golden Wave in Tokyo' was held at Musashino Forest Sports Plaza. Since its last event in Taiwan in April, this performance showcased 16 idol groups and solo artists over two days. On the first day, artists like NOWADAYS, NiziU, IVE, CRAVITY, H1-KEY, MAMAMOO's Hwasa, JD1, and 82MAJOR performed, while on the second day, LE SSERAFIM, Billlie, Sung Si-kyung, AMPERS&ONE, n.SSign, ONEUS, CNBLUE's Jung Yong-hwa, and WHIB captivated fans with diverse stages. The artists not only performed their representative songs but also special stages exclusive to this event, energizing K-POP fans. Impressive were the stages of rookie artists covering senior artists' famous songs. On the 12th, H1-KEY sang (G)I-DLE's hit 'Fate,' and CRAVITY's Jongmo and Mini passionately performed ECLIPSE's 'Sudden Shower.' The special stages of 82MAJOR and NOWADAYS also caught attention, with 82MAJOR showcasing BLACKPINK's 'Shut Down' and NOWADAYS performing aespa's 'Amageddon' dance challenge. Fans cheered for the collaborative stage of Stray Kids' 'S-Class' presented by both groups. On the 13th, ONEUS rearranged TWICE's 'Feel Special,' highlighting a different charm from the original. The rookie boy groups stood out with passionate performances, with NOWADAYS and 82MAJOR on the first day, and AMPERS&ONE, n.SSign, and WHIB on the second day, showcasing their strong presence to K-POP fans. NiziU, H1-KEY, Billlie, CRAVITY, and ONEUS actively performed as hot K-POP artists spreading worldwide, receiving acclaim for their powerful performances. As groups active overseas, they communicated with fans in fluent Japanese. JD1 (Jung Dong-won) participated in the Tokyo performance following 'Golden Wave in TAIWAN,' delighting fans. Not only Japanese fans but also those from Korea came to support JD1, drawing attention. Solo singers also made notable appearances, with Hwasa on the first day and Sung Si-kyung and Jung Yong-hwa on the second day, enhancing the performance by interacting with Japanese fans. Hwasa showcased her presence as 'Solo Queen' with her new song 'Na' and performances of 'Maria' and 'Chili.' MC Sung Si-kyung's debut at the 'Golden Wave' also captured attention. He expressed gratitude for being invited to 'Golden Wave in Tokyo,' having hosted the 'Golden Disc Awards' for eight years, and presented a sweet stage. After singing 'You Are My Spring' and 'All Your Moments,' he surprised fans with a performance of the Japanese song 'Konna ni Kimi wo,' evoking emotion. Additionally, he entertained fans with witty talk in fluent Japanese and called for anticipation for the '39th Golden Disc Awards' to be held on January 4-5 next year at Mizuho PayPay Dome in Fukuoka. Recently active at various festivals, 'all-rounder' Jung Yong-hwa showcased an overwhelming presence. He sang from the standout 'Your City' to hit songs 'You Have a Crush on Me' and 'One Fine Day,' making the audience cheer and reaffirming the true meaning of a festival. IVE and LE SSERAFIM, who closed the first and second days of 'Golden Wave in Tokyo,' heightened the atmosphere. As soon as they appeared, there was an incredible cheer. IVE's cool costumes and the ending four-panel pose of 'HEYA,' along with the voting for LE SSERAFIM's last song, provided a sense of closeness with the stages chosen by fans. Choo Young-woo, who served as MC again following the Taiwan performance, led the event with stable hosting. He prepared various Japanese comments, such as 'Are you ready to enjoy today?' to consider Japanese fans. After all artists' performances ended, he called for continued interest and support for K-POP.
