Dawon will be the fourth member of SF9 to enlist, following Inseong, Youngbin, and Jaeyoon. Prior to this, FNC Entertainment, their agency, announced that there will be no official events on the day of enlistment to minimize crowds, and visits from fans are prohibited. Dawon communicated with fans through a live stream on YouTube yesterday (June 30), sharing updates and feelings before enlistment. Kim Jaehwan, a solo singer, will also enlist today in the army band after receiving final approval from the Military Manpower Administration. Dawon debuted with SF9 in 2016 and was loved for hits like "Good Guy," "O Sole Mio," and "Now or Never." He also acted in dramas and movies. Kim Jaehwan debuted with Wanna One in 2017 after appearing on "Produce 101" Season 2. He transitioned to a solo career in 2019 and released his 7th mini album "I Adore" in May this year.
SF9 marks their 10th anniversary with the release of the special album 'About Love' Japan Edition on June 24, 2026, featuring all ballads.
