Minji's recent situation has been made public. Today (5th), a post titled 'NewJeans Minji's Recent Situation' was shared through online communities. According to the post, Minji visited a birthday cafe prepared by fans for her birthday on May 7, handing out cookies she baked herself, letters, and purikura photos. The organizer of the birthday cafe wrote, 'Minji left them in front of the cafe. She even baked cookies and wrote letters. The cookies Minji gave will be served on a first-come, first-served basis. I really love Minji. I want to see her.' In her letter, Minji wrote, 'My Bunnies (NewJeans fans), are you all doing well? Are you eating properly? I'm curious. It's May. It seems like the season will turn out as I imagined. I heard that many Bunnies will gather to celebrate my birthday this year too. I felt I couldn't lose, so I baked some cookies. I hope they taste good.' She continued, 'Thank you always, Bunnies. I have a truckload of things to say. May we have good opportunities again. Let's meet again. Thank you for celebrating my birthday.' The letter also included messages like, 'Bunnies, you must be curious about what I'm doing, right? Minji had notified the termination of her exclusive contract with her agency ADOR on November 29, 2024, claiming a breakdown of trust with the other NewJeans members. Subsequently, ADOR filed a lawsuit to confirm the validity of the exclusive contracts, winning in the first instance. The members have appealed the losing judgment. Members Hae-rin, Hae-in, and Hani have returned to ADOR in succession, while Daniel has withdrawn, with a lawsuit for breach of contract and damages amounting to 43.1 billion won (about 4.3 billion yen) ongoing. Since it was reported that Minji is in discussions with ADOR, she has not indicated her position.
