This year's first half's most shining actor and artist voted by fans in the voting project 'Kstyle The One Pick' first half ranking. A collaborative project by 'IDOL CHAMP', a global K-POP idol support app, and 'Kstyle', TOMORROW X TOGETHER, NiziU, SUPER JUNIOR Eunhyuk, NEXZ, Rowoon, Kim Heyoon, and actors and artists who were also active in Japan were selected as winners. To commemorate this award, the songs of the award-winning artists will be aired every Friday at 6 PM on TOKYO FM's 'K-STAR CHART presents POP-K TOP10 Friday'! NEXZ's song will be played on the September 5 broadcast. Kstyle analyzes the charm of NEXZ, who won the NEXT STAR category! While looking back at their activities in the first half of the year, we introduce the memorable scenes that excited fans. Their story began with 'Nizi Project Season 2', where the boys' group NEXZ was born. The boys dreaming of becoming idols helped each other, joked around, and fostered friendships, delivering emotions to many fans. The members selected from the audition were Tomoya, Yuu, Haru, Sogon, Seita, Hui, and Yuuki. They captivated viewers with their unique charm from the audition stage. Tomoya showcased exceptional entertainment from the first individual level test, while Yuu demonstrated his caring nature by cooking for his team during the team battle. Haru consistently showed calm and stable performances, captivating viewers with his leader-like qualities during team competitions. Since their debut, these three have been reliable senior members and mood makers of NEXZ. Their official YouTube channel frequently captures their enthusiastic participation in various projects, earning them a friendly image that resonates with many fans. Attention is also drawn to the members who blossomed their talents as idols through the program. Sogon showed remarkable growth despite harsh criticism in dance and vocals, earning the title of 'the protagonist of this program' from producer J.Y. Park. Seita overcame his weakness of lacking confidence that showed on stage to become the last member selected for NEXZ. Hui showcased a charming contrast with his innocent smile and powerful dance. Yuuki captured viewers' hearts with his cheerful personality and steadily evolving performances. The four members, who have shown growth through the auditions, continue to be a hot topic among fans for their youthful visuals and the impressive stages they displayed during their struggles and growth. Their pre-debut song 'Miracle', released on December 18, 2023, surpassed 10 million views on the performance video within about six days of release. It topped the Oricon Daily Digital Single ranking and various music distribution sites like iTunes, LINE MUSIC, AWA, mu-mo, and Rakuten Music, receiving tremendous response. Especially, the 'Miracle (Korean Ver.)' released simultaneously on iTunes ranked first in the K-POP genre, proving their popularity beyond Japan and marking a splendid start. In May 2024, they will release their first Korean single 'Ride the Vibe' for their official global debut. Their performance on 'M COUNTDOWN' three days after the release received a great response, showcasing a confident performance that belied their first appearance on a music program. Korean fans praised them, saying, 'Amazing. They have the freshness of a rookie and the stability of experience,' and 'They are cute, refreshing, and talented, an incredible rookie,' expressing excitement for their future activities. In August, they released their first Japanese EP 'Ride the Vibe (Japanese Ver.) / Keep on Moving' and debuted in Japan. Their showcase tour held in Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka sold out all performances, drawing 40,000 attendees and demonstrating NEXZ's immense popularity. In September, NEXZ's first terrestrial variety show 'NEXZ NOW' also started. With various projects like exploring popular spots with MC Nasunakanishi, a 'serious physical ability battle' with Timondi, and the classic idol variety project 'What's in the Box?', they created many hilarious moments, raising expectations for their diverse activities in the music scene. In April this year, they released their 2nd mini-album 'O-RLY?' in Korea, entering their second Korean activity. They captivated fans with even more powerful performances since their debut. During the 'O-RLY?' activities, they actively appeared outside of music programs. In May, they participated in the popular YouTube content 'dingo ATTACK', where idols surprise visit schools to perform. Their impressive performances and warm personalities, as they expressed their excitement to make students happy and high-fived each student while leaving the stage, further excited the students. In the program 'Silence of the Idols' streamed on YouTube channel MUPLY, NEXZ's variety skills shone. The idols enjoyed themselves while sneaking around the instructor's eyes, dancing to songs by senior idols like TWICE and NMIXX, and humorously trying to navigate the instructor's reprimands. When they appeared on MBC's popular radio program 'Hope Song at Noon, Kim Shiyoung', they performed 'O-RLY?' live in the studio. Their high singing ability drew comments like 'almost like the original sound source', and the footage capturing the members enjoying the recording received praise. In June, NEXZ made their first appearance on TV Asahi's 'Music Station'. They performed 'Simmer (Japanese Ver.)' from their second Japanese EP for the first time on TV, and during the talk segment, they promised to dance the same song with Mrs. GREEN APPLE's Hikaru Wakai, which also garnered a positive response. Furthermore, from June to August, they held their first national tour 'NEXZ LIVE TOUR 2025 “One Bite”', covering 18 performances in 15 cities and drawing 50,000 attendees. The final performance on August 21 marked their one-year anniversary of debut in Japan, where members were seen moved to tears by heartwarming comments from fans and the appearance of a cake. Celebrating their one-year anniversary, NEXZ hinted at further growth, showcasing an impressive performance at 'a-nation' held on August 30-31, where they performed alongside renowned artists like Ayumi Hamasaki, Hey! Say! JUMP, GENERATIONS, and Da-iCE, thrilling the audience with a performance that belied their first appearance. In September, a special program 'NEXZ and Cafe' was broadcast, indicating their active activities. NEXZ continues to captivate fans with their diverse charms, drawing significant attention to their journey.
