In the music video, BOYNEXTDOOR’s expressiveness, in which they play animals guided by instinct, and the speedy visual development create a high level of immersion. With wild gazes and expressions, and quick movements, they deliver a sense of liberation. Hot reactions to the music video have also been pouring in from global music fans. This work ranked 13th on Korea YouTube’s “Daily Popular Music Videos” dated September 28, and also ranked on the “Daily Popular Music Videos” in nine countries and regions, including Japan, Canada, Finland, Norway, Sweden, and Singapore. As of 1 p.m. on the 1st, the sound source of “ANIMAL” ranked 19th on Korea YouTube’s “Trending Music,” and on Korea Spotify’s “Daily Top Songs” dated September 29, it ranked for two consecutive days. Also, on Japan’s major music distribution site LINE MUSIC, it ranked 11th on the “Song TOP 100” dated September 30, and recorded 10th place on the daily “New Song TOP 100,” which targets new songs released within 30 days. In the tally for only two days after release, it also ranked 31st on the weekly “New Song TOP 100” (tally period: September 23–29), making a strong start. By 1 p.m. on the 1st, it had also ranked on iTunes “Top Songs” in a total of eight countries and regions, including Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, and Colombia. Furthermore, as of 8 a.m. on the 1st, about 17,000 videos using the song’s sound source had been posted on the global short-form mobile video platform TikTok. This means that content was posted at a rate of five per minute after release, showing the high interest from short-form users. At the same time, it ranked 20th on Instagram Reels’ “Trending Audio” chart. “ANIMAL” is a song that contains the spirit of challenge and ambition to constantly surpass oneself and move toward a better tomorrow. It expresses the attitude of moving forward without tiring for what one wants, likening it to the dynamic movements of animals. The album is also charting in multiple countries, while the title track “ANIMAL” is performing well on Korean and Japanese music charts. The 2026 MUSIC BANK GLOBAL FESTIVAL IN JAPAN will take place at MUFG Stadium (National Stadium) on Dec. 12 and 13, 2026. Day 1 features MISAMO, NAYEON, aespa, and NCT WISH; Day 2 features Stray Kids, IVE, BOYNEXTDOOR, and CORTIS. MCs include KIM JAEWON, SANA, and JANG WONYOUNG.
