CRAVITY will release a new album. According to its agency STARSHIP Entertainment, CRAVITY will make a comeback on September 30 with its 9th mini album, sonorous. Ahead of this, on the 10th, it released a story film through its official SNS. The video began with Allen’s narration, as if heard through radio waves, heightening the sense of immersion. As sensory animation continued, a pegasus that emerged from a chrysalis spread its wings and stepped on the ground, causing cracks to form and ripples to spread. After that, when a person lying in the grass let out a big breath, ripples spread as if the lawn were undulating, and the nine members appeared from within them. As if someone had witnessed their figures, they followed the waves created by tracing the sound of instruments, but there was no one there, and only the echoes remained. Next, a scene was depicted in which they created new echoes in another place, delivering a meaningful message that said, “When you know that you can ring out even farther, the world resonates for the first time,” raising expectations for the new work. At the end of the video, as waves spread in all directions, a new logo appeared, suggesting that it was a symbol logo for this album. Then, a short vocal line repeating “sonorous” flowed, and along with the album title sonorous, which means “deeply and richly resonant,” the release date was revealed. Prior to this, CRAVITY had released photos of the members expressing “resonance” found in everyday life through its official SNS, conveying hints about the new album. The members expressed various scenes in which “resonance” is born, such as acoustic guitars, xylophones, grand pianos, and swings. Attention is focused on how CRAVITY will express the keyword “resonance” through this album, sonorous. Through its previous 8th mini album, ReDeFINE, CRAVITY expanded the group’s story into a wider world and showed new attempts not only in music but also in visuals and content overall. In the title track, AWAKE, it showed a clearer color and a highly completed performance, expressing the concept in CRAVITY’s own style.
