VERIVERY talked about 'BOYS II PLANET', re-signing, and future group activities. Before the release of their 4th single 'Lost and Found', VERIVERY met with My Daily for an interview. Regarding their first comeback after military service, Donghoon said, 'There was a 2.5-year gap, and since this is my first comeback after discharge, I was worried about whether I could adapt properly to the entertainment industry again. I had many worries because there was a time when dancing and many things stopped, but through the big program 'BOYS II PLANET', I regained my sense, and seeing the young friends and members working hard helped me recover.' Before the comeback, members Donghoon, Kehyun, and Kangmin participated in 'BOYS II PLANET', which aired in Korea from July to September, attracting attention. Particularly, Kangmin narrowly missed debuting, finishing 9th in the final. When asked why he decided to participate in the program, Kangmin revealed, 'When the company suggested it, I didn't think deeply. At that time, I lacked confidence and just wanted to reunite with the fans on stage. As a singer, I wanted to interact on stage, which led me to participate.' He continued, 'I received a lot of love thanks to the results of my practice and luck. Unfortunately, I was eliminated, but I think it was good. I feel that achieving something with my own choices alongside the members and the company has made me a better person, so I'm happy.' Kangmin also shared his feelings about participating in the program, stating, 'I am originally very competitive. But when I was losing that drive, I participated in the program. Since popularity is measured by ranking, the desire to be number one surged. I was frustrated when I couldn't be first, but seeing myself doing my best for the next opportunity made me feel like I returned to my former self. I felt rejuvenated.' Kehyun expressed, 'My love and gratitude for the stage and the fans grew significantly. Therefore, while preparing for this album, I had a strong desire to show a wonderful side and my strengths. I worked hard to improve my skills. I also thought I needed to refine my visuals through dieting. Seeing the participants working hard to improve themselves made me realize I need to become a well-polished artist.' He added, 'Both physically and mentally, it was tough for the three of us during 'BOYS II PLANET'. But just having the members there gave me strength. Seeing their hard work made me feel I couldn't just sit still and had to work harder.' He reminisced, 'Even after being eliminated, I supported Kangmin's cool appearance and efforts. I cried a lot when Kangmin was eliminated during the final. I truly supported him from the heart.' Meanwhile, Yongho and Yonseung, who did not participate in the program, actively supported the three members through live broadcasts. Yongho explained, 'The live broadcast was initiated because the three members were participating, and Yonseung and I wanted to support them. I felt proud seeing the members regain their initial spirit and work hard, and I thought I should also try my best at something, whether they returned or not. As I watched each episode of the program, I started to support the other participants too. That's why I think I got hooked on the program and did the live broadcast.' Yonseung added, 'While the members were taking on the extremely challenging 'BOYS II PLANET', we deeply pondered what we could do to contribute to the team. That's how we decided on the live broadcast.' He continued, 'Through the live broadcast, we supported the members, conveyed our stance, and created opportunities for ourselves to be exposed. Not only fans but also many viewers of 'BOYS II PLANET' came to watch, and we were very happy. I was really glad that they watched together, and during that time, more people started to like us. It became a challenge to show what kind of stage 'YouTuber Kim Yonseung' could create through this comeback,' he joked. Kangmin smiled and said, 'I'm really grateful to the brothers. I appreciated their support through the live broadcast.' VERIVERY is a boy group that debuted in January 2019 and is now in its seventh year. Before their recent re-signing, the future of VERIVERY's group activities was uncertain. With three members participating in 'BOYS II PLANET', it was unpredictable whether they would debut and how many members would be included, raising concerns about the viability of VERIVERY's group activities. Yongho shared, 'I haven't thought much about the end of the group while working. However, when the members participated in the program and only Yonseung and I were left doing live broadcasts, I personally thought, 'What will we do if all the members succeed?' I supported their debut, but I also had a desire for them to return, so I had complex feelings while doing the live broadcast.' Regarding re-signing, he explained, 'Before 'BOYS II PLANET', we all talked about re-signing and decided to do our best. Regardless of the outcome, Jellyfish, the company, loves and cares for VERIVERY, so we thought there was no other place for us and re-signed.' Kangmin candidly admitted, 'Actually, we have talked about the end.' He said, 'When the proposal for 'BOYS II PLANET' came, we discussed a lot. I wanted to participate, but I wanted to hear what the older members thought. I couldn't just think about myself. There are fans who support us and members we work with, so I wanted to hear their thoughts. We asked each other and talked a lot. At that time, it wasn't about work but about supporting each other as people, as brothers, which allowed us to take on the challenge.' Recently, after completing the re-signing and gathering the members, how will VERIVERY's second act unfold? Kehyun responded, 'To be honest, we don't know what the future holds. We worked hard to ensure this album succeeds, but there is always a coexistence of worry and excitement. We don't know how listeners will receive it or if they will like it. I think it's most important to do our best with what is in front of us.' Kangmin conveyed, 'After re-signing, we will strive to communicate more diversely with our fans and do what they want. Even now, the members are listening to the fans' words. We want to hear a lot and work hard to do that.'
