On the 5th, YG posted on their official SNS about the '2026 YG SPECIAL AUDITION: GO! DEBUT'. Following the official poster announcing the event, excitement was heightened with a video showcasing the debut history of TREASURE and BABYMONSTER. The video captured the members being discovered as YG trainees, undergoing systematic training and numerous evaluations, gradually growing into complete artists. In the end, the scene of them enjoying the concert stage amidst the enthusiastic cheers of fans was eye-catching. YG has produced many artists who perform on a global stage beyond South Korea, leading the K-POP wave. Recently, they have strengthened their training system and significantly shortened the time to debut, accelerating the launch of next-generation groups. YG stated, 'As the title 'SPECIAL AUDITION' indicates, this audition has a significant difference. Unlike before, chief producer Yang Hyun-suk will directly participate in the initial document screening, showing a strong will to discover large newcomers following BIGBANG and BLACKPINK.' Meanwhile, applications for the '2026 YG SPECIAL AUDITION: GO! DEBUT' can be submitted until February 28 via the YG audition website or the QR code in the poster. Anyone born between 2007 and 2015, regardless of gender or nationality, can apply. Applicants should choose one area they are confident in, such as singing, rapping, dancing, visuals, or talent, and incorporate their potential into a video of under one minute.
