The Korean film 'Hear Me: Our Summer', which depicts the sparkle of youthful moments, including the excitement of love that everyone has experienced and the confusion of life, will be released in Japan under the title '君の声を聴かせて' starting September 26, 2025. Produced in 2009, the Taiwanese film '聴説' recorded the highest domestic box office revenue that year. Fourteen years later, '君の声を聴かせて' was remade in Korea and premiered as a special invitation work in the 'Korean Cinema Today' section at the Busan International Film Festival last year. After its general release, it garnered enthusiastic support from audiences, ranking first in initial attendance and box office performance for the month of release. The protagonist, Yong-jun, is played by the uniquely talented young actor Hong Kyung, known for his roles in popular dramas and films such as 'Weak Hero Class 1', 'D.P.', and 'Evil'. The other protagonist, Yeol-mu, who Yong-jun falls in love with, is portrayed by No Yoon-seo, who has gained attention for her transparency and high acting ability in works like 'Ilta Scandal' and 'Our Blues'. She won the Best New Actor award in the film category at the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards. Yeol-mu's sister, Ga-ul, is played by Kim Min-ju, a former member of the popular group IZ*ONE, making her commercial film debut. The film weaves a delicate and dazzling love story featuring three of Korea's most promising young actors. Another significant aspect of the film that has garnered attention is its unique approach to communication, differing from typical love stories. In this film, which features a hearing-impaired character, most conversations are conducted in sign language, drastically reducing spoken lines. The delicate story allows viewers to genuinely feel that what connects the characters is not 'words' but 'hearts', providing profound emotion and healing that transcends a simple love story. The film's screening in Japan began on September 26, and it has been described as a 'detox movie that washes the viewer's heart' and 'an incredibly pure and wonderful romance film'. Making photos have been released, capturing Hong Kyung participating in filming as a staff member with a microphone, scenes of Yeol-mu attending an international sign language school, and behind-the-scenes moments of the sisters enjoying drinks together. The sound direction, which received acclaim at last year's Busan International Film Festival premiere, features an atmosphere and natural sounds designed under the director's delicate direction, and Hong Kyung is particularly interested in the sound team that plays an important role in this film. His enthusiasm for the filming site is evident as he is a film enthusiast. Additionally, No Yoon-seo and Kim Min-ju have received praise for their chemistry, with voices saying they look 'just like real sisters'. They were able to relax and enjoy filming together, creating the atmosphere of sisters supporting each other's dreams. This refreshing story delivered by the three young actors and the director's commitment to sound should definitely be experienced on the big screen! Release Information: '君の声を聴かせて' is currently being screened nationwide, including TOHO Cinemas Hibiya, starting September 26 (Friday)! [STORY] Yong-jun (Hong Kyung), who graduated from university but cannot find what he wants to do and is not motivated to get a job, reluctantly starts helping with deliveries at his parents' bento shop. He meets Yeol-mu (No Yoon-seo), who communicates in sign language at a pool, and falls in love at first sight. Yong-jun tries to get closer to Yeol-mu using the sign language he learned in college, but Yeol-mu is busy every day, belonging to a swimming group for hearing-impaired individuals and working hard to fulfill her sister Ga-ul's (Kim Min-ju) dream of competing in the Olympics.
