It has been a year since ASTRO's Moonbin passed away. He was found dead at his home in Gangnam, Seoul on April 19, 2023. He debuted in 2016 as a member of the group ASTRO, actively working as the main dancer and sub-vocalist. He was loved for his versatile talents in unit activities, dramas, and variety shows. The entertainment industry was shocked by his sudden death. Members rushed back from the US, and MJ on military duty took emergency leave to visit Moonbin. Music shows mourned him, and events shared the grief. The agency expressed deep sorrow to fans. A private funeral was held, and a memorial space was set up at Fantagio. Family and friends visited to reminisce. The memorial space was moved to Namhansanseong Guksa Temple after 49 days. An external memorial space was prepared for fans to pay respects longer. A "Moon Space" was set up at Guksa Temple. Fans continue to visit as his first death anniversary approaches.
