The drama "Unique Romance," starring Red Velvet’s Joy and others, will be distributed simultaneously in Korea and exclusively free in Japan on ABEMA from November 9. It is a drama adaptation of a huge hit original work that recorded a 9.98 review score on the NAVER webtoon. It is a one-of-a-kind "reverse love romance" that begins with the worst encounter between a popular star who has gained wealth and fame but carries worries, and an ordinary but proactive job seeker. The pairing of Park Soo-young, a.k.a. Joy, and actor Kim Hyun-jin, who has consecutively appeared in notable works such as "Idol Eye" and "Love Phobia: You Who Are Afraid of Love," has been a topic of conversation even before the distribution. "The top actor at the peak of popularity is my fan!?" Gong Yoo-il (Joy) is a fan of Ryu Min (Lee Do-han), a member of the idol group X-ONE. Yoo-il ends up providing the filming location for the drama in which Ryu Min appears, but for some reason she keeps getting involved not with him, but with top actor Tak Mui (Kim Hyun-jin). However, Mui misunderstands Yoo-il, who was working part-time at a convenience store, as a stalker because he does not know she is a resident of the filming location. Their relationship, which begins with a misunderstanding, continues, but one day Mui suddenly confesses to Yoo-il, "I am your fan." It turns out that in the past he was a huge fan of the online novel Yoo-il wrote under the pen name "Con Writer." When Mui was in a slump, what helped him get out of it was Yoo-il’s novel. As their past connections are gradually revealed, the truly unique romance between Yoo-il and Mui begins. ■ Distribution information "Unique Romance" Monday, November 9, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. (two episodes distributed every Monday at 6:00 p.m.) <Cast> Gong Yoo-il: Park Soo-young (Red Velvet Joy) Tak Mui: Kim Hyun-jin Ryu Min: Lee Do-han Chu Da-hong: Kang Na-on ■ Related site "Unique Romance" distribution page ■ Distribution information "Unique Romance" Monday, November 9, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. (two episodes distributed every Monday at 6:00 p.m.) <Cast> Gong Yoo-il: Park Soo-young (Red Velvet Joy) Tak Mui: Kim Hyun-jin Ryu Min: Lee Do-han Chu Da-hong: Kang Na-on ■ Related site "Unique Romance" distribution page
