"Why couldn't the magical girl save the world? / By Baek Solfi & Hong Sumin. The authors seem well-versed in Japanese subculture, and many familiar works appeared, making it very interesting. The nostalgia of the works is being overshadowed by market-driven trends... lol. I always felt a certain skepticism towards magical girls, but I see now 😇 #ReadingNotes"
This year's intended top 10 books turned into 20 because I encountered so many great reads (Part 2) (in the order I read them): - Why Couldn't the Magical Girl Save the World? / Translated by Baek Sol-hee, Hong Soo-min, and Watanabe Mako - Dragonfly Chronicles / Kitamori Ko - Sacred Beast Legend / Supervised by Egami Nami - Cold River Volumes 1 & 2 / Sara Paretsky, translated by Yamamoto Yayoi pic.x.com/4Qchi0DOrk
Here’s the translation of the tweet: "/ #kbookfes Participating publishers will present the魅力 of books 🔥 \ #Shobunsha's #HirakuVolume 'Why Couldn't the Magical Girl Save the World?' by Baek Seol-hee, translated by Watanabe Madoka ━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🗓️ 11.23 (Sat) 12-18, 24 (Sun) 11-18 📍 Jimbocho, Publisher Club Building ▶ k-bookfes.com pic.x.com/7C0kdXGRcU"
The tweet translates to: "By Baek Solphi and Hong Sumin, 'Why Couldn't the Magical Girl Save the World?' Why are girls always in pink? Why are all female idols thin? There are aspects that I never questioned before, but now they catch my attention due to a change in my perspective. It points out issues in the culture that surrounds girls as if it's a matter of course."
Sumin was also in the Seishun Star and Shinson faction, right?
スミンは青春スターもシンソン派ででてたよね!
4 was Son Yul, 34 was Jeop, 40 was Yo Won, and 12 was Um Ti. Three of them made it to the final. However, in the end, my favorite was Sumin-kun, who reminded me of a youthful star. I think his skill in team building and growth were also key factors.
I thought I had seen Sumin from MILKY-UP somewhere before, turns out she's a member of Seishun Star. I wonder if these four will do something together.
I'm a gross otaku, so I'm going to start watching "LOUD" and "Youth Star" because Sumin is in it...
Build Up, I wonder if there's anyone who appeared in Seishun Star? When I started watching, there was Sumin-kun!

Sumin, a Shinson faction puppy who appeared on Seishun Star, is now appearing on Build Up. I want to fly to ABEMA right now, but unfortunately it's spring break and I don't have time to watch it carefully! Frustrating! 🥲
I've been supporting Sumin since his youth star days, so I'm sad that he fell. The team was so lively and really cute 😭💓 I started watching Build Up and now I like Donhun! I want Sunghun to do well too, but they're on different teams... it's a dilemma 😂 Is anyone else watching?
