BTS (Bulletproof Boy Scouts) achieved a unique record in Japan. According to the "Reiwa Ranking (Reiwa 1st to 5th year)" announced by Oricon on April 19, BTS recorded sales of 48.15 billion yen in the "Total Ranking" of the "Artist Sales Division" and won first place. In the same ranking, they were the only foreign artist to achieve sales exceeding 30 billion yen during the period. This ranking totaled sales from May 2019 to January 2024, including singles, albums, music DVDs/BDs, digital singles and albums, and streaming. BTS' sales of 48.15 billion yen during the period breakdown as follows: albums accounted for 36.6% at 17.6 billion yen, music video works accounted for 33.8% at 16.26 billion yen, and streaming accounted for 25.0% at 12.05 billion yen. Their success was also prominent in other charts. They swept the top spot for foreign artists in a total of 8 categories, including "Combined Singles," "Combined Albums," "Singles," "Albums," "Digital Singles," "Digital Albums," "Streaming," and "Music DVDs/BDs" in the sales by work category. Their fan meeting live video "BTS 2021 MUSTER SOWOOZOO" in 2021, the finale concert live video of the "LOVE YOURSELF" tour in 2019, "BTS WORLD TOUR 'LOVE YOURSELF: SPEAK YOURSELF' THE FINAL," and 6 other works achieved top 50 rankings in the "Music DVD/BD" chart, surpassing renowned Japanese artists and setting a record for the most "Top 50 entries." BTS' best album "BTS, THE BEST," released in June 2023, recorded sales of over 1.05 million copies and ranked 6th on the "Album" chart. In this ranking, BTS is the only foreign artist to have sales of over 1 million copies with a single album. BTS will hold a pop-up store in Korea from April 26, featuring unreleased photos taken before enlistment. The kinetic manifesto film "ON" by BTS has surpassed 600 million views, marking their 13th video to do so.
