PENTAGON successfully finished its solo concert, held for the first time in about seven years to commemorate its 10th debut anniversary. PENTAGON held the concert “PENTAGON 10th Anniversary Tour '101010'” for two days, on the 9th and 10th, at BLUESQUARE Woori WON Banking Hall in Yongsan District, Seoul. This Seoul performance had special meaning in that it was the place where PENTAGON and Korean fans met face to face for the first time in about seven years since the previous “2019 PENTAGON WORLD TOUR 'PRISM'.” PENTAGON further deepened the significance by meeting fans again at a venue where they had built many memories with them over the past 10 years, starting with this concert. Before this, PENTAGON had opened the 10th anniversary tour in Osaka on the 1st and in Tokyo on the 3rd, and in Seoul as well they showed a variety of stages and carried on the excitement. In addition, the performance on the 10th was livestreamed worldwide online, sharing the joy of the 10th anniversary with fans around the world who could not come to the venue. PENTAGON decorated the concert with a rich set list, including not only “Shy,” which was released on the 11th of last month as part of the 10th anniversary project, but also representative songs such as “Daisy,” “SHINE,” and “Spring Snow,” as well as the ballad unit (Jinho, Hongseok, Shinwon, Yeo One) “Till...” and the hip-hop unit (Hui, Kino, Wooseok) “Lost Paradise.” In addition, they first unveiled “Basquiat,” which drew attention on Mnet’s “ROAD TO KINGDOM : ACE OF ACE,” as a complete-group stage with Jinho, who had been serving in the military at the time of the broadcast, joining in, drawing an enthusiastic response from fans. Furthermore, they moved fans by fulfilling all the promises they had made to them, from special stages that could only be seen at the Seoul concert, such as “DO or Not” and “Eternal Flame,” to the stage of “Young (Prod. by Dok2),” which they had promised to perform at the 10th anniversary concert, and even the pair T-shirts that Hui had mentioned at the 9th anniversary live. In response, fans answered with cheers filling the venue, singalongs, a 10th anniversary cake, and song events. In particular, during the encore stage, surprise events such as the release of a message saying, “PENTAGON, I love you,” and photos full of memories from the past, as well as fans’ voices echoing from the seats, moved the members. To the fans’ passionate reaction, PENTAGON performed songs that were not scheduled, including a triple encore, extending the concert, which had originally been planned for 100 minutes, to about 200 minutes and heightening the atmosphere of the venue. After finishing the concert, PENTAGON said, “This 10th anniversary project was a ‘miracle.’ This moment now feels like a dream. Even when I heard that all seats were sold out, I thought it must not be real. But the UNIVERSE (the name of the fans) really filled this venue. This concert and these 10 years could not have been accomplished without UNIVERSE. Thank you for being with us for 10 years. From now on too, please always stay by PENTAGON’s side on the path we walk. Let’s definitely meet again,” and shared their thoughts on reaching their 10th anniversary. They also said, “We are grateful to Kino and NAKED, the members who were in charge of managing this 10th anniversary project. Thanks to Kino, we were able to create all of these happy times. And we would like to express our gratitude to all the staff who supported PENTAGON so that it could exist until today, and to the many people who cooperated above all because it was the 10th anniversary.” After finishing the Seoul performance, PENTAGON plans to continue the tour in Hong Kong on November 1, Amsterdam on the 4th, Paris on the 6th, and Berlin on the 8th, meeting fans around the world.
