CRAVITY celebrates 7 years with a new leadership structure and a rebranding, showcasing maturity and unity in their latest album.

The group CRAVITY, entering their 7th year since debut, has matured and strengthened their unity through rebranding and changes in leadership. Recently, they held a release interview for their 8th mini-album 'ReDeFINE' at STARSHIP Entertainment in Gangnam, Seoul, discussing various topics. They declared their rebranding starting from their 2nd full album 'Dare to Crave', significantly expanding their musical worldview. Wonjin mentioned the changes after rebranding, saying, 'I felt like I was reborn, like returning to my rookie days, and I was always excited during practice.' He added, 'My love for the group deepened, and we were able to prepare hard for this album.' Notably, they transitioned from a single leader system with Serim to a co-leadership system. Hyunjun remarked, 'Even though the leader has changed, there hasn't been a big change in the group. Previously, Serim handled everything alone, but now we rely on each other and can share our opinions.' Mini joked about the change, saying, 'With two leaders, I have to hear things twice now,' bringing laughter to the scene. Serim expressed gratitude to the members, saying, 'What I had to solve alone is now easier because I can think with Wonjin and Hyunjun.' After surpassing their 6th anniversary, they face the so-called 'cursed 7th year' re-contracting season and the approaching military service for members. Taeyong noted, 'Since it's the 7th year, fans seem to worry about whether we will end, and it's a realistic issue for us too.' However, he expressed a mature attitude, stating, 'Instead of hiding or turning away from these anxieties, we want to convey a message of moving forward and facing emotions in this album.' Regarding re-contracting, Wonjin shared, 'We gathered and discussed it. While there may be some unease about re-contracting, we agreed to focus on our comeback first and concentrate on album production.' Notably, Serim, the oldest member born in 1999, is likely to enlist first. He stated about his military service plans, 'When the time comes, I intend to do my best to fulfill my duty, but I'm not overly worried or thinking about it now. I plan to go properly when the time comes.' He added, 'Most of my friends have finished their military service, and they all tell me, 'You're suited for the military, you'll be happy, and you'll do well because you've been socializing since childhood.' I think I'll do well wherever I go.' Additionally, Jungmo revealed his dream of becoming an air force military police officer, sharing his love for airplanes and aviation. Their affection for each other and strong bonds connect to their feelings for fans. Having debuted during the pandemic and not being able to meet fans for a long time, their memories of offline performances are special. Serim recalled, 'Before standing on stage with an audience for the first time, I cried tears of joy thinking I could see the faces of the fans backstage.' Woobin shared an emotional episode, saying, 'Seeing Serim hyung cry on stage made me realize that being a singer is not something we create alone; the audience completes us.' CRAVITY continues to dream of eternity, not an end, and maintains their unwavering momentum.
