ZEROBASEONE’s Sung Hanbin spoke about how he felt about making his solo debut three years after debut. This afternoon (the 12th), Sung Hanbin held a media showcase at Layer Studio in Mapo District, Seoul, to commemorate the release of his 1st EP, “DEAD:ALIVE.” Appearing on stage like a silver-haired prince, Sung Hanbin said, “I feel truly honored just to be able to show my first solo album. Since this is such an important moment, I want to show everything I prepared today without holding anything back.” Through this album, he sings a story of overcoming pain and trials by surpassing his own limits without yielding to fear. Based on the keyword “beautiful destruction,” he said it depicts a journey toward a new self. When MC Ko Young-bae of SORAN asked about his determination, Sung Hanbin replied, “I worked hard to include the side of myself that I am best at in this album. I am about to enter my fourth year since debut, but this is my first time doing solo activities, so there were many difficult points and many things I experienced for the first time. Even so, I prepared with the mindset that I would work hard on this promotion, rather than trying to take an easy or comfortable path.” He also said that the ZEROBASEONE members supported him. He said, “The members, who are like family, supported me a lot. As soon as I received the demo song, I went to the members and asked what they thought. Kim Ji-woong hyung even sent a coffee catering truck to the filming set. I received a lot of warm support from the members.” The title track, “UNDEAD,” is a song that combines a powerful guitar riff, a grand choir, and a splendidly developing drum line. It will be released today at 6 p.m. through various music streaming sites. • [PHOTO] ZEROBASEONE’s Sung Hanbin holds his solo debut!
