KG, who acted as VCHA, announced the end of her contract with JYP. Today (8th), JYP Entertainment officially announced, "JYP America and KG Crown have amicably agreed to end the contract as VCHA members. They have also decided to support each other's futures." VCHA debuted last January through the global girl group project "A2K" with JYP and Republic Records, consisting of six members: Lexi, KG, Camila, Savannah, Kaylee, and Kendall. Their pre-debut single's title track "Y.O.Universe" became the number one trending video on YouTube worldwide and was selected as one of the "24 Artists to Watch in 2024" by Grammy.com. However, in December last year, KG revealed, "I was abused by certain staff, decided to terminate my contract with JYP, and attempted to leave VCHA, filing a lawsuit." In response, JYP commented, "We are very regretful that KG chose to publicly disclose false or exaggerated content and opted for a lawsuit, causing significant damage to the other members and our company, who are diligently preparing various plans. We will take all necessary measures to prevent further damage to the other members and our company." Additionally, in July this year, Kaylee announced her departure due to health reasons. This month, VCHA announced that they would change their group name to GIRLSET and restart with four members: Lexi, Camila, Kendall, and Savannah. - KG of VCHA files a lawsuit seeking contract termination with JYP, "inducing extreme choices from members" - Following KG's departure announcement, JYP comments, "There were differing opinions" - VCHA, under JYP, changes group name to "GIRLSET" and restarts with four members after departures.
