Singer Chancellor has been reported arrested on suspicion of drug possession. Today (24th), according to a certain Korean media, Chancellor was arrested on the spot for violating drug control laws at a hotel in Nagoya, Japan in the early hours of the 23rd. In response, today, the affiliated label XGALX revealed through an official comment that they take seriously the concerns raised by many regarding the news of the arrest of their producers reported by some media recently. They continued, "We are currently doing our best to confirm the facts related to the case and are sincerely and actively cooperating with all ongoing investigations." They also stated, "As the specific details have not yet been confirmed, we plan to quickly and clearly communicate additional positions once the accurate facts are confirmed and the situation is organized," adding, "We deeply apologize again for the concerns and inconveniences caused by this incident." Previously, a Japanese media reported that JAKOPS (SIMON), the CEO and executive producer of XGALX, along with four producers from XG, were arrested on the spot for possession of cocaine. It was reported that one of them is Chancellor. According to investigation officials, when police officers searched the hotel, cocaine was found on the desk in the room, with a total of four bags and one bag of marijuana seized. The police plan to investigate the source of the cocaine in detail. Chancellor, a singer and producer from Berklee College of Music, has collaborated with top musicians such as Kang Daniel and former GFRIEND's YUJU. He married a flight attendant three years younger than him in 2022, and they just welcomed a daughter last October.
