Jimin of BTS continues to perform good deeds steadily even during military service. Recently, Dong-A University in Busan reported through its official website that they held a "BTS Jimin Scholarship Award Ceremony." This time, a sophomore at this school was selected as a scholarship student thanks to Jimin's donation. Jimin's donation was made possible through the connection between his father and a professor at Dong-A University in Busan. It is planned that a scholarship student will receive the "BTS Jimin Scholarship" in the next semester, not just a one-time donation. His good deeds are not limited to this occasion, as Jimin is said to focus particularly on donating educational expenses. In 2018, he donated uniform costs to his alma mater, Busan FEDON Elementary School, for his juniors, and the following year, he donated 100 million won (about 1 million yen) in educational donation to the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education. This was used for students from low-income families in the Busan area. In addition, he donated 100 million won to the Jeonnam Future Education Foundation for scholarships, and also donated 100 million won to the Gangwon Province Office of Education in secret, which was later revealed and praised again. Furthermore, he donated 100 million won to the non-profit international volunteer organization International Rotary for polio patients worldwide. On his own birthday, he donated over 100 million won to the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation and became a member of the Green Noble Club, a high-profile sponsor gathering. Jimin's father is also actively engaged in volunteering and donations. Over the past three years, he has donated the equivalent of 76 million won (about 760,000 yen) to his hometown region, exerting a positive influence alongside Jimin. Currently, BTS members are in military service. Fans continue to support Jimin's activities that provide a positive influence even while fulfilling his national defense obligations.
