He also shared a handwritten letter through his Instagram, stating, 'I wanted to tell Agase (GOT7's fans) first as we have spent 12 years together. I will go to the military healthy and safely for the country, so please take care of yourselves, eat well, and stay healthy. If the moon is out, think of me, and if you miss me, listen to my music. I will also think of you while looking at the same moon and do my best! The time of a year and a half can feel long or short depending on how we spend it, but I will cherish it to feel short. I hope Agase does the same. I will return cool and with a wonderful album after growing! I love you, Agase!' He will serve in the Army Band, which includes his close friend ASTRO's Cha Eunwoo, as well as iKON's Donghyuk, THE BOYZ's Sangyeon, NCT's Jaehyun, and Kim Wooseok.
