Lee Siu and TWICE's Dahyun will showcase a youth melody. JTBC's new Friday series 'Love Me' (directed by Cho Young-min / written by Park Eun-young and Park Hee-gwon) depicts a story of a somewhat selfish but rather ordinary family that grows while starting their respective loves, having only valued their own lives. Lee Siu plays the reckless graduate student 'So Jun-so', who dreams of romance, while Dahyun plays 'Ji Hee-on', an editor at a publishing house dreaming of becoming a novelist. The story plans to portray the sensibility of youth wandering and maturing somewhere between the friendship and love built since kindergarten. Jun-so is a typical youngest child who always wants to confirm love and be confirmed. However, he lacks emotional empathy with his older brother So Jun-kyung (So Hyun-jin), who is nearly ten years older, and floats without a sense of responsibility in the heavy atmosphere of the family due to an unexpected accident. Although he attends graduate school, he is anxious about a future without a vision. At such times, his friend Hee-on, who always listens to his complaints, is like family to him. Unlike the unreliable Jun-so, Hee-on is responsible for her life, having worked at a publishing house while living her dream of becoming a novelist, immersed in books since childhood. Having taken care of Jun-so in place of the distant and unrefined Jun-kyung, she knows everything about him, including his romantic situations. However, at some point, she realizes that she has feelings that are not just friendship. Jun-so and Hee-on are so familiar with each other that they casually enter each other's space. The stills released today (19th) reveal the unpretentious comfort that only long-time friends can show. Their playful conversations and the absence of awkwardness even when close reflect their long history together. However, within this familiar relationship, doubts arise about whether these feelings are truly 'just friends'. Because they have been together for so long, they have realized their feelings later than expected, and the emotional changes that ripple through their youth are the core point of this melody. The production team explained, 'Lee Siu will express Jun-so's complex inner world, where anxiety, romance, and recklessness coexist, with delicate acting, while Dahyun will naturally convey Hee-on's warmth and emotional fluctuations. The fresh yet dense acting chemistry between the two actors will complete another charm of the youth narrative.' They continued, 'Jun-so and Hee-on are too familiar with each other, facing subtle emotional changes late in their youth. The moments that draw the line between friendship and love will be depicted with straightforward yet realistic emotional lines. We hope you will watch what choices Jun-so and Hee-on will make.'
