CRAVITY, who has reached their 6th debut anniversary, spoke about their feelings on their comeback with the 8th mini-album. Ahead of the release of the 8th mini-album 'ReDeFINE', CRAVITY shared various stories in an interview with Newsen. 'ReDeFINE' is an album that vividly depicts CRAVITY's 'now'. It portrays the image of youth that shines even more brightly because they move forward while being imperfect and wavering. Wonjin said, 'This is our first comeback this year, and I am happy to share the results of our hard work since the beginning of the year with our fans. Since this is an album after our rebranding, I think it is an even more meaningful work, so we are preparing hard.' Sungmin also said, 'I think it will be a very important memory to greet our fans with an album in April, the same month as our debut, on our 6th anniversary. I believe our fans are looking forward to it as well. The concept photos have been released, and we are preparing with excitement,' showing a smile. In this work, many members participated in the song production, and especially Taeyoung revealed his self-composed song 'Love Me Like You Do' for the first time since debut. Serim explained, 'I incorporated many characteristics of Ouroboros into the rap. I included onomatopoeia here and there and wrote lyrics like 'biting the end'. I included points like 'there is no end in my plans' and 'there is no end in my design.' Allen added, 'This time, based on the symbol of our concept, Ouroboros, I included it in the lyrics of the title track, but I wanted to particularly utilize the symbol of the snake in the lyrics. Since reptilian blood is cold, I included direct expressions like 'cold blood', 'fangs', and 'deeply biting' in the lyrics.' Taeyoung said, 'I sang a song I worked on for the first time. I am happy because it is a song that was born from a song session with the members and other composers. I feel like 'Love Me Like You Do' has been reborn as our song with the members' voices, and I am pleased.' Sungmin also mentioned, 'The message of this album is not 'youth shines because it is perfect,' but rather an album that contains moments of 'wobbling, breaking, and standing up again.' (This year) is also our 6th anniversary, and it is an important time for us. (We) decided to make that part the keyword of the album, as our motto was to stand up again and keep going, whether we succeed or not.' Hyunjoon said, 'In this album, we made Ouroboros a symbolic metaphor, redefining it as 'the end is the beginning.' While it may seem to others that we are going in circles, biting our own tails, I believe this album contains infinite growth and expansion, as well as our realistic present. We worked hard to make it easier to understand as a metaphor.' CRAVITY attempted a large-scale rebranding last year. Hyunjoon explained, 'If the albums before rebranding depicted a new working adult overcoming difficulties, after rebranding, we took a step further to depict a process that everyone experiences. The previous albums have been reborn, meeting the world with 'Epilogue', and this time with 'ReDeFINE', we included a message of overcoming the fears and pains within that world. The story is connected as one. I think the difference between the albums before and after rebranding will be divided in that way. It feels more like we are talking about the process.' Wonjin shared, 'Personally, my attitude towards the album is that before rebranding, the existence of 'myself' and 'the group' was taken for granted, and I wanted to express my desires within that. After rebranding, I was reborn and redefined my existence as 'myself', and from that moment, I felt a desire and struggle about my own existence and the group, focusing on us. I felt that the album after rebranding resonated more with that meaning and that there is indeed a difference in concentration and immersion.'
