JAKOPS (SIMON), the former producer of XG, admitted to the charges in the first trial. SIMON was arrested on February 23rd for allegedly possessing cocaine and dried marijuana at a hotel in Aichi Prefecture. According to investigative sources, at that time, investigators were searching the hotel where SIMON and three employees of Avex were staying, and cocaine was found on the desk in the room, with a total of four bags of cocaine and one bag of marijuana seized. On March 13, it was reported that the four were re-arrested on suspicion of cocaine use. It became clear that a urine test showed a positive reaction. After being released on bail, he apologized via social media, saying, "I have caused great inconvenience and worry due to my selfish actions." He stated, "I take this incident seriously and feel keenly how my actions lacked social responsibility and trampled on the feelings of my fans," adding, "There is no room for explanation," acknowledging his fault. He also revealed that he made the decision to resign as the representative of the company.
