The seven-member artist group XG appeared on the red carpet of the American Music Awards (AMA), one of the three major music awards in the U.S., held at MGM Grand Garden Arena (Las Vegas) on May 25, local time. XG became the first Japanese artist in history to walk the red carpet of this award. XG will hold their first world tour from 2024 to 2025 in 35 cities (47 performances). They were the only Japanese artist to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, one of the largest music festivals in the U.S., last April, where they headlined the Sahara stage and ranked second in global trends on X. Their first full album, "THE CORE - 核," released on January 23, 2026, ranked in the Top 100 of the Billboard 200, greatly enhancing their achievements in the U.S. XG appeared in dresses that showcased their seven unique personalities, walking the red carpet amidst cheers and responding to many American media interviews. The members of XG commented, "We are very honored to participate in the American Music Awards. We are looking forward to seeing various artists and performances!" When asked about their ongoing world tour, they expressed, "This tour contains all of our essence, and we believe that those who come will feel our true CORE!" XG will also throw the first pitch at the Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Philadelphia Phillies game on May 31 (local time) and will make their debut as the first Japanese artist at the Capital's Summertime Ball 2026 at Wembley Stadium in London on June 6. They have also announced overseas performances for their second world tour, "XG WORLD TOUR: THE CORE," in Bangkok, Manila, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Sydney, Taipei, Los Angeles, Chicago, Hamilton, Newark, Dallas, and Mexico City. They will perform at the FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL, one of Japan's largest outdoor music festivals, on July 25, at "Head In The Clouds" in Los Angeles on August 8, and at the "ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2026" on September 12, showcasing XG's active expansion of their activities both domestically and internationally.
